This setup should fit both manual and auto trans.

 

I think the autos would just need a tranny cooler..

 

^agreed. Anything over like 210whp on an auto is a must. Although it cant ever hurt when boosting.

 

Yea true.. This may be a dumb question but manuals can use tranny coolers also..? Ive never really seen anyone use one just wondering?

 

Manuals can not use coolers since they dont not use a transmission fluid pump or require fluid pressure of any sort, an automatic transmission uses a fluid pump to push transmission fluid through the torque converter and the solinoid housing which controls the gears and all that. A manual simply has transmission fluid that rests at the bottom and splashes up on all the gears simply from the gears rotating in the fluid.

 

This is not true. Although I dont agree with the need for a trans cooler on a manual trans there are some that do.

Yeah I've seen a few custom kits do the same.. it's not a bad way of doing it.
