07 Supercharger tamper bolt removal
I already know there's a thread on this but I never found a real answer to how to remove the 07 supercharger tamper proof bolt. For those who already found a way can you please share? thanks!
Last bit of information I discovered led me to believe that the unit comes with the pulley already bolted on, locked down, tamperproof painted, and devoid of non creative ways to remove it straight out of the box!!
If I remember correctly, Heat the cap up with a heat gun and then use a razor blade around the bottom of it to get it off. then use the heat gun to get it back on.
don't hold me to it, but i believe that's the idea.

yeah....the 07 supercharger comes already assembled in the box. There is no cap like the 05-06 models. The tamper proof bolt looks almost like a lug nut lock with a star looking pattern. this sucks lol.
welpp so heres the update...today i removed the tamper-proof bolt by grinding it down making it into a hex shape. I then used a 12-point 16mm socket and tapped it into the tamper-proof bolt. I broke it loose by using my 1/2" impact gun and it came right off. Installed the new 65mm s/c pulley and the light weight crank pulley. just came home from work and damn that shiz pulls haha and you can hear it spool like crazy. oh well just sharing my new experience with the pulley, im sure many of u guys already know how it feels and sound.

I was the person that posted the original thread. Ive decided it's in my best interest to keep the bolt in place, and I'm going to be Parting Out/Selling the tC in a few months. Evo IX or STi Hatch, here I come!!! LoL
