my v band leaks on my dp i need to figure it out

 

check if the flanges are warped or your clamp might be worn.. the clamp should tightly bind the two flanges and you shouldnt be able to tighten the clamp just by bare hands

 

i have checked and re seated it just leaks i just need to stop being lazy and make a metal gasket for it

 

you can try some red rtv if it isnt so bad

 

Several years to infinity or at least years longer than any 304 mani that has to support the weight of a turbo. Gaskets are a plus. Embossed SS are nice but embossed copper are even better. Check out SCE for copper T3 and WG gaskets. Dezod has a nice copper manifold gasket. Studs are also very nice to use with cast. Check Northeast fasteners, ATP Turbo, Fastenal, et al.

BTW, I'm using the same $100 mani on my XB2 turbo project, part deux.

Thanks for the heads up. It would probably seal better if it was embossed. I still like the embossed copper gaskets from SCE for turbo and WG use. I'll stick with the oem MLS manifold gasket.

chad remove the oem shroud and install slim lines! clean it up alot.. looks shiaty being so close!
