I'm gonna wait and see what comes out of these new tires. I'm snagging up a set of Falken Azenzis's (hard to say lol) and if it takes off like a bat outta hell in 2nd instead of going straight to redline, I might not change a thing. But, if I still have major traction issues down bottom, I at least want it to be a bit more of a highway queen. Overall, I'm a pretty conservative driver and don't put many miles on the car compared to the average. I bought it in the beginning of 08 with 1000 miles on it and it has almost 28k now.
even if hes using a smaller turbo, the size is still the biggest determining factor. im assuming he has a stock bottom end and is worried about turning up the boost. as long as hes not pushing more than 350whp, on the stock block he should be fine. so if his turbo makes 322whp on 12psi he actually has room to raise the boost even more. so he has to get dyno tuned n see what power he makes at 12psi. elevation made what 362whp on a sc-62 on 16psi b4 he bent a rod. if he ran 16psi on a t3/t4 63. 50ar. his whp would have been much lower. i say tune for as much hp as u can safely run on ur setup. get it dynoed son
^^ your right but i think below 330whp is a safe bet. it all depends cause i know i was on 13psi on conservative tune and made 326whp and burned my piston rings and then like elevation did 360 something and bent a rod.

Took the car out for some fun today. I might just build a 12 psi tune on my off-time with Mike and run 9 daily. 290 whp is plenty for me but nothing says fun like spinning third gear next to ricers going 55 lol.
Pay Uncle Sam-$940
New Tires-$600
New WG Spring-$30

BTW, I'm just running the V2 Turbonetics kit. .48/50 trim BB w/ Tial WG 38mm. If anyone has a .8 bar Tial spring laying around for cheap maybe we can make a deal?

That includes installation of the tires as well. I'm getting the 225/40/18 Falken Azenzis RT615's.

There are other respectable makes out there but Tial is my choice for WG. I've got a 1 bar spring for the 38mm Tial doing nothing in my garage if anyone wants to make an offer.
