how can you not spin tires with over 400 whp? i have only 308 whp and i can spin 3rd gear. unless you have some super sticky rubber, i don't know why somebody wouldn't be able to spin tires in a turbo tc.

reminds me when i was on the stock tires (I forget what those pos's were) but at as little as 300hp i spun em often, swapped out to cooper zeons and didnt spin quit as much. on goodyear DR's i couldnt spin em on the street..well depending the surface and I suppose if i dumped the clutch at a high rpm i could.

I don't spin half if 2nd. And def not 3rd.

I don't spin 2nd at the track. I have a (2.2-2.3) 60'. Just haven't got my 1st gear down yet.

On the street, I have Dunlop dezera star spec tires.
And I can go like 4 grand in 2nd and not spin. Now. Tgats only in warmer weather. As soon as it gets a little chilly those tires harden up and I spin like crazy.

Nice tire setup. What did you get at the track? And yea anything over 2.0 on Dr's needs a lil help. Practice makes perfect.

This will also depend on the size of your turbine and where peak torque comes in at.

my best is a 13.5@111 with a 2.2/2.3 60'...
everyone tells me to bounce the rev once or twice in first, but any time i come close to redline it bogs, real bad.... ive been told its because the 07 ecu sucks....
im was running 12 psi on stock block....

it also depends on the road, i spin on some roads and dont on others, its weird. but then again FL's roads are made out of something new every turn lmao.

Go ask spd_rcr he claims all that big power n sais he doesnt spin 3rd...hmmmm i know i spin 1st n up til 5600 in 2nd

raise the rev limiter till like 6500 and shift right before that then.

by jan-feb i'm going full built long block and some kind of standalone

the 07 do at times act like that...strange thing is it doesnt do it everytime..Ill show a couple of examples here in a min of my car at the 1/8th mile track. because of the track distance I top out on third gear close to the line so i just let it ride and hit the rev limit.

here is were i bog (btw stock clutch slipping like hell in second and with DR's), what sounds like im just letting off the gas really is the rev limit.



and here it bounces rapidly



and here it bounces slightly (stock clutch slippage and sleeping at the light FTMFW!!!!...lol) oh and it bogged on me while doing the pos burnout



I havnt pinpointed exactly what conditions will make it bounce or just seem to shut down.

Theres a difference between spinning in 3rd when doing a 3rd gear pull and spinning in 3rd when doing a 1st gear launch. Goin from 1st, I'll prolly spin to 4th gear, 3rd gear pull may spin, prolly not. Brake boost making almost full boost, yeah more than likely will spin. With the 16g spun alot worse, why? because power came in way earlier. Dont really see why this is so hard to understand...
