I also think that the car was on the bottle for that 427HP run. They have pictures of the turbo car and it has a big baby bottle in the trunk. The NO2 could also be used to help cool-off the charge and help keep detonation at bay -but that would mean even more fuel would be needed -unless they used a wet system.
