as long as you get a good start you should be fine....

they weigh 3227lbs 225hp/290trq.
tC...2905lbs 300hp/~300 trq....

you should be fine because you weigh less.

how much work does he have done to his mustang and those are the mustang specs for a GT so if he has the v6 then hes def. beat

my buddy has full exhaust intake and a tune on his 98 with pi motor swap. It puts down 285 at the wheels. He also has 4.10 gears... So from riding in that vs. a 300whp tc i would say if you get a good launch the tc will win by 3rd gear.... The gt will out launch you tho...

Tire rating doesn't mean anything about grip. I've had all-seasons that were z-rated... the stock tires are z-rated... and they sucked for track use.

its gonna be close, just make sure the tires are warm when you race...i live in South Jersey and its cold as hell right now so i would figure that it would be about the same temperature in maryland

I think you'll take him. I also think you'd really kick his a$$ if it was from a roll. V8 don't mean anything. Now if he was supercharged or turbo then I'd say you wouldn't have a chance.

ok i raced plenty of those kind of mustangs here in jersey and well i hope your car is faster the 14.2 because thats all they run unless its a Auto., wwith the chip and shift kit and decent tires then on the street prob, 13.9 a good race for you on the street would be fox body mustangs with highly modded 5.0 <--- LOL still not thatttt fast but will get out on you cause wih tires on the street they are beast and a Sti anyyear i've raced a 02,04,06 and the best to get me out of the hole was the 03 with new final drive gears so he pulled like a b*tch out the hole but then again when i was 300whp and 322wtq i pulled right around them with no problem and all the races were done with BFG 17inc radials

no doubt you will beat that mustang - im 100% sure of it. As soon as your get traction in 2nd and 3rd you will be gone .... simple as that. you have a freakin 300whp car ...thats a 350hp and 350trq car! hehe ...come on man. Blow him away and then give him a smirk ....case closed
