Default 2.25 vs 2.5+ for turbo

How much hp would I be sacrificing roughly if I were to slap a 2.25 pipe on the car rather than the recommended 2.5+? Lets just say the turbo I buy will give me +200hp...anyone have an idea?

2.25" will equal a lot of backpressure and you will lose a considerable amount.

You would roughly be losing anywhere from 15-30whp give or take

woah man thats definitely not worth it. See the reason I ask is because unfortunately all of the turbo sized pipes I am seeing out there look fricken weeaaaaak. I am not a fan of small looking exhaust tips and unfortunately everything I see out there... the exhaust look roughly close to stock. do any of you know any systems out there that have an agressive look along with the size I need for the turbo I am about to purchase?

just make a custom exhaust with the exhaust tip that you want.

example: 3 inch piping to the HKS Carbon Ti exhaust tip.

Whats this mystery turbo kit you're looking at?

And isnt the piping on the carbon ti 2.25 anyway?

I'd say jus go to a shop and have them fabricate you one. You can do anything you want including a 3 inch pipe and a big tip!!

Yea, I got the Carbon TI muffler with a 3" inlet, so I am not sure if I wanna go 2.5" or 3". I do have a 2.25" Magnaflow exhaust right now tho.

Turbo Mafia? You kidding me, they are just like ZPI, just not as bad. Unless they cleared things up.

I know a lot has happened, and I did say there are some bad reviews... I also forgot their site had shut down for a while... I wouldn't recommend them, just saying if you feel like you trust them then go for it...

i had the megan racing drift spec exhaust which had a 2.25" inlet and i was putting out around 250whp. i bought mightygnu's custom 3" and im hoping oto make like 280whp. to be honest with you i like the more oem look cause it doesnt attract as much attention from the cops. then again its me im trying too hide everything too be inconspicious
