i am just satisfied with the way superchargers work compared to turbos - im not saying either is better or worse, i just like the design better

im still wanting the supercharger. but with the fiasco that i had to deal with 3 weeks ago i have lost interest in rushing to get it.
but i still want it. and since i had to wait i was gonna go ahead and wait until after the 07 one was officially released.

but guys this still hasnt been officially released. a picture means nothing. there were pictures of a TMIC a while back too...

I hope for your all's sake that by some miracle it has less problems than the current 05-06. I think from owning one and seeing other current owners problems you shouldn't even consider going the s/c route and modding it unless you want to pay for your own repairs. For those that will keep it stock (which will be hard to do once you get it) then go for it, otherwise if you want more power and will mod the s/c you may as well go turbo or at least don't be too upset when, not if, something breaks with it.

is it just that i havnt had my car in a month or does the shaft of the charger look a lil different??? it looks like a step was added, maybe a fix for the oil leak and bad seals?

Yeah, now that you mention it it is different then the 05-06. I thought the oil leak problems were caused by the users, TRD????

only time will tell.

actually, i have noticed a difference in shafts since almost the beginning and my friend who is a tech at a dealer told me the difference as well but when i said something here everyone dismissed us as being idiots.

on some pictures the shaft would look dark grey on others it looked polished. some of the first pics i saw it was polished on the '06 book it was dark grey now it looks polished again and the tech said he noticed the 2 different ones as well when installing them.

but other than that there is an extra sleeve-looking thing on the side that connects to the housing

looking at the 06 book again, the one section that connects the shaft to the housing is shorter and theres the extra sleeve thing there instead.

Hmm, I'll be anxious to get mine back together to see if it's my bearing making a noise too or something else

Im more intrested in hearing the gains from there SC, I have a feeling its going to be the same whp as the 05/06 but i guess it cant hurt to dream of them making it a bit higher. Still id forget the concept of getting a sc and go ***** to the walls with turbo.

I just bought my 07 last Friday. 2 of the salesman straight forward told me to avoid the supercharger. From what they hear, it is supposed to be better than the 05-06 S/C, but thats talk.
