2009 scion tc with issues,
Need help trouble shooting the car
Turbo kit installed , 1 hr later .... problems...
The car dies off regular idle. and sounds bad.
I have removed the spark plugs and they are soaked in thick carbon build up. what are some other things I can do check for problems.
The car is starting to smoke lightly (black) and strong smell of fuel. Buring alot of oil. No leaks, changed plugs to stock for now to trouble shoot. didnt help.
Internal problems that I should know of.
with a point spark system, what are other ways of looking for problems. .
Thanks

Injectors are the ones that come with the kit. 440cc. And as for ECM it's the aem fic. I understand I'm not properly tuned but I don't think it would run smooth for 30+ min then out of no where go crazy. I'm thinking the air fuel ratio sensor is doing it cause we kina banged it around to get off. So I'm going to try that. And I think it might be burning oil in the turbo which I think might be attributed to the return line. I think the guy who welded it on didn't read what I gave him to tap it so it might be to low, causing oil to get backed up.
What I want to know is the return oil does it have any pressure cause if it doesn't then this is plausible and I think I can test it by removing the return hose and seeing if it acts somewhat like a drain. Does that sound right??

so i was about to pull of my oxygen sensor to check it. and found the pipe to the turbo exhaust side dangling. reinstalled it and runs perfect now. aside from an exhaust leak at the manifold. but just need to get a thicker gasket for it. i now noob mistake, but id like to thank everyone that gave input.
im still confused as to why my fic got rid of half of its maps?
any input on that would be great. but i have a base map in for now til my tuner can get to it.

Did you get the oil return line redone? To answer your question, oil return line is not pressurized. It's gravity feed back into the oil pan. Fitting is to low, then it will go the path of least resistance....straight back up into the center housing, causing your turbine to leak and blow oil.
