OK so i will eventually get turboed, but not for a few months.
Would it be bad to run the 3 inch set up for a while while i piece my kit together. ?
Any input would be appreciated.

well i raced a 5 speed tc with 3 inch exhaust and all i had was my megan drift spec and i won by like a car i think u loose back pressure without boost with 3 inch

 

is it bad for the car though. i can deal with some power loss till i get the turbo.
or should i just go with a 2.75 or something

 

2.5 is big for the n/a.. so if you want to go turbo soon go with 3 inch or wait for it..... but dont waste money on exhaust now and do it again when u get turbo

 

im only gonna be running 2.5 for now with my turbo kit untill i can get the ptuning exhaust

 

the muffler shop by my house said they'll do my exhaust for 500 with cat, res, and muffler. but they want me choose what size i want. lol . it wont be another 8 months till i get the turbo . i just dont want to run it and mess up my motor.

 

its not gonna mess up your motor........and you dont need a 3 inch when your turbo....read the FAQ's in this section about the exhausts.

 

1. $500 is too much when other shops can do the same if not a better job for alot less.
2. you don't need a 3" exhaust, 2.5" will be the best way to go unless you wanna go ahead and try 2.75" but i'd still go with a 2.5"
3. if your not gonna be turbo'd for another 8 months then just wait until the time gets closer and save your money for the dezod exhaust http://www.dezod.com/pd_dezod_motors..._spipeback.cfm

 

im running a 2.5 and when I slap my setup on my car I am just going to run a cut out to the side of the front bumper. so it will be quite DD and loud and making power when I want to race it at the track

 

ive been running 3 inch on my N/A tC for months.
youll be fine.

what you will lose is exhaust velocity.

i wish man. but the scuzz in my hood are a$$ holes. They find anything wrong with your car so they can illegaly search your ride. Happens about 2 a month for me. if im lucky once.

seriosuly i got people calling me at 12 am for tunning.. someone broke in my house sunday night after blowing up my motor and works been crazy

 

god damn man, that sux. ^ your car is going to be off the hook though when you get it done. I love the High Res videos that you have. wish more were like that. Anyway we can expect more high res videos when you are done and making some power ?
