LOL...at people recommending a 2.5 inch exhaust over the 3. Plain and simple, a turbo likes to breathe. You are not going to yield the same results on a 2.5 as a 3 period, unless you are running 8lbs of boost or less. And if you are running only 8lbs of boost....Your car is to slow.

I was saying 2.5 cause im going with a cut out. wouldnt that be better than a 3 inch if it opens about 3 feet from the turbine.

a resonator would be nice and a muffler too.. that would create a deeper sound and make your exhaust less loud.. when you turbo, you dont want too loud exhaust coz you wanna hear the sweet sound of your turbo setup! Suck, Squeeze, bang, blow!!!!

I've been n/a for the last two months with a custom 3"exhaust waiting on my turbo rebuild(long story). Runs fine, no issues. sounds like an STI, but may be because of the Vibrant in-line muffler. also i currently have the stock headers on until i get my turbo back.

Alright here's the rundown.....

Currently running Stock headers, Ptuning 3" s-pipe, v-bands, vibrant muffler (part no. 1119) in the center of the car, and stianless 3" pipe to the back with no tip.

With turbo on, the downpipe is 2.5" and 3" from the s-pipe back. here's a video with the same exhaust with turbo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NpSj3eZUJ0

also that's a synapse BOV in that one.
