Even if the saels haven’t been updated, this guy has already dumped his money on the blower. If he were to sell it, I doubt he’d get anything more than $1k for it. I sold my kit for $1500 with a brand new unit and the used kit components. If you have big hp power plans go for it. The turbo will probably cost you around $5k for a nice complete kit.

I’ve actually debated with myself whether or not to trade my car in for an Evo/STI already. My car will walk on an Evo right now from a roll. Yeah we all know they can get us from a launch, don’t need to bring that up. Pick up the lastest issue of Modified and read what they have to say about the 10 team shoot out and how the World Racing tC stood out.

Just to add to what jwaggz was saying, understand that all these really nice turbos some tc folks are rolling around with weren't 2250 new when they first came out. It takes pioneers to make products for cars (especially new parts) and with visions and dreams, things materialize. Good luck with your s/c project curtball. It sounds as though you have done some great research already and if the funds are available to complete this project, I say defy all the nay-sayers and doubters!

take the road less traveled!

(for me I am going to aim for 250hp) (2006 early S/C)

Just make sure you pick the right clutch. I have the clutchmaster stage3 and it feels better then stock. I would say you need atleast 350lb torque rating for your setup. The ACT and a few others call their stage 1 or stage 2 what clutchmaster calls their stage3. A few guys w/ turbos burnt out their stage1 and stage2 so I figured stage3 was the answer for me ...and I could beat on it more and not worry.

And the flywheel is nice. I actually took off in 2nd gear today and it actually bogged a lot less then it used to before the light flywheel.

Much respect for being a pioneer. I wish you the best of luck. Don't let the negative guys get to you, all they do is shoot people down on this board because they have nothing better to do.

Curtball - if you get the motor done 1st then ask rippmods for cams tell them your spec cause they mite be able to make more aggressive cams for you.. karls cams was with power and reliable but if you have a built motor you could have more of a lift... would deff.. talk to ripmodds. with that im going to push 350whp... but not sure also remember to get apr studs and copper heade gasket.. good luck man.. will deff.. watch this thread

I would suggest a standalone since you are going to be running so much boost. I would talk to yamaha16bw. He just got a Hydra full standalone EMS on his turbonetics kit. I know his is a turbo but he can still tell you some of the features it has. I know he knows what he's talking about and he surely has done his research. Plus since you are going all out--why get just a piggy back???

yes I will talk to Ripp once I get the motor built, and see what they can do for me with those cams. But yeah the hydra is gonna be my EMS of choice, thanx for the input guys!

I think the p&p head with ripp cams would make a big difference maybe not enough to get to 400 whp but that would land you some good numbers. All you need is a good Intake manifold now too bad no company is steping up with that yet.
