8 heat range spark plug?
ok so i been running v power racing 8 heat range plugs which are non resistor plugs. but ever since then the idle been sloppy and tuning it still didnt help. i was told to go with a resisitr plug to help a lot. but my problem is i cant find a v power or copper 8 heat range plug. and no i do no want to go with iridium plugs. does anyone have the part number for a resistor type 8 heat range plug v power ir copper. thanks in advanced
That's weird;
BK= series of plug
R= resistor
#= heat
e= not sure
S= v power plugs (IX= iridium)
Dont know what to say, I was kust going to try them to see if they r better at start up thats all. I haven't had any problems with the iridium 8's on E85 putting down 300+whp
Whatever benefit the copper has over iridium disipating heat, the E85 is doing it for me

As for buying 12 v power plugs as opposed to 4 iridiums, the iridiums would last worlds longer. And if you need the extra 8 plugs for backups, well then theres obviously another issue that needs to be addressed and not the plugs
Ummm its been proven time and time again, copper plugs are better than iridium on E85. Also Marcelo, like me is running a motor far from stock with lots 'o boost ;) lol FWIW, Im running the V Power racing plug (8 heat range) without issue. Mine seems to idle fine, I just had to gap mine down to like .025-.028 when I was on 18-19 psi to keep it from breaking up
Stussy1 you must be new here. v power and copper are good as long as you have the right heat range. and like its been said before resistor is better then non resistor.
then dawg i had the same plugs r5672a-8 which are still non resistor now i bought the iridiums just now and idle still the same. but its alot smooother and throttle response is a lil better. but this is the last iridiums i buy. i just bought them to see if idle helps. but my guage still read --- on idle. so i'm guessing i have to change the o2 sensor. i guess we will see when i get an o2 sensor. oh and i am on .24 gap. thats what i use on every plug and havent had any problem. by the way i'm on 22psi now with a consevative tune and like 8 degrees of timig being pulled on full boost cause i ran out of fuel with my 875cc on pump gas

oh like thendawg said on e85 v power or copper is great. e85 doesnt need iridiums
oh and stussy just cause the car comes with iridiums doesnt mean you can only use that kind of plug.

Yo marcelo, what 875cc injectors do you have? I tried some 850cc big red a while back I had bad idle issues and car dying when coming to a stop/decelerating. Back on 700cc DW and they are awesome. I tried tuning them in every single way and had no success, all on the fic of coarse. Maybe they could work on something else, but so far the people I know that have them running on the fic have hiccups.
