Default AFR problem after installing new exhaust

ok..so, my and justin just installed my Ptuning 3 inch turbo back exhaust, and its awesome sounds great and all that. and whenever im cruising or at idle, the AFRs are perfect. but as soon as i start hitting boost the AFRs go right to 15 and continue to climb to 17...this happened on 2 different base maps weve tried, idle is fine, but boost is lean...

were not sure what to do, is it the larger exhaust thats causing the problem or what? we disconnected my battery to see if that helps the computer reset the tune better.

also justin said that with the ptunin exhaust the AFR sensor is behind the secondary O2 sensor, thats just how the set up is, instead of the other way around like it would normally be...anyones help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

if you change exhausts you should retune..... Thats what I've been told.

instead of buying the exhaust you should have used that money towards a tune man. stop hitting boost if your hitting 15's and up! unless you want to blow ____ up! on boosted cars changing the exhuast is a pretty nice difference so it might just be the exhuast that changed your tune afr's!!

yea, well, ____ happens. i didnt wana let the deal on the exhaust i got go. so i chose that instead. and the only reason i was hittin boost was to test the different tunes. i had to see if we had a base map that works for it. oh well, gota pony up some money somehow.

oh and if i had gotten the tune first, then when i bought the exhaust i would have had to retune anyway, so ill just stay outa boost. i can deal. but maybe if i can find a basemap set up for a 3inch exhaust that will work....or i gota find someone that can street tune for cheap, that will cut me a deal or somethin

i had the ARK n2 which is 2.5inch, but it had the secondary cat welded on to it where it bolts to the S pipe, because it came from cali and the have the restrictions there...and it was killin the air flow...its a beautiful exhaust and retails for like 700 bucks i think... i got the ptuning for 700 shipped(turbo back with s pipe)

yea i got a retune when i went to the 3in exahaust. just to let you know i was running the stock exhaust and an 8.6 lb spring in the wastegate. with the new exhaust my car now hits 10 psi. so adding an exhasut def required a retune.

With a 3" exhaust, your boost probably was raised 2-3 PSI. If you have a boost controller, turn it down.

wow, so heres an awesome story, on the way back from saint pete with my friend brock today, were on the high way, and we pull off to get gas, and i start hearing a loud freaking noise, and when i gave it gas i wasnt boosting. so we get to the gas station, i pop the hood and boom!

my waste gate bolts had come loose and one of the came out, my waste gate was hanging off the manifold my a thread. i lost the one bolt, we sat there for an hour until we found someone with a wrench, then we went to auto zone and got a new bolt...the gasket was blown out, and im gona have to lock grip the bolts...

ALSO! somehow my splash guard on the front right wheel got shredded the ____, and got stuck in my rim. i had to rip that out, so now i have no splash gaurd covering the fright right end of my car. AWESOME!

lifes great.
