Once installing the Water/Meth Injection System would it begin working immediately or would I need to do some sort of tuning prior to it being able to function at it's full capacity?

You have to have it tuned before you use it.

I would need an emanage correct or some sort of piggy back to tune it, or can i just take it to a dyno/tune shop for it to be used

any tune will work as long as it can adjust the afrs and if you want to really benefit from it also adjust the timing...

Interesting. It looks like this is something I should to my ZX2 since I'm pushing it pretty hard on a stock motor. Thoughts?

To get any benefit from water/meth you need to get tuned. With water/meth you can push the timing and make a lot more power.

Tuning is not an issue for me. I tune my ZX2 on my own since I have a full blown tuning package for it. I'm assuming either the RIPP or the ZPI kit should work, since they both feed off the 5v MAF signal, correct?

Another question... I'm converting my ZX2 to blow thru... inject into the charge pipe after the MAF or before it?

Can you spray water/meth in a N/A motor? Is this specific for F.I. motors?

Anybody have any thoughts on that? I'm under the impression I should inject after the MAF so as not to saturate the MAF sensor with moisture, but then the blow thru setup may not like it since the MAF isn't seeing it coming in?

I thought the mix of methanol was higher then that ... like 52%/48%

but either way ... you are correct w/ the heet. I am using prestone windshield washer fluid (it is the yellow one that is sold in the winter .....hence the methanol they use). Dont use any other washer fluid! You sure as hell dont want to be using something that doesnt even contain methanol. When you shake up the yellow prestone fluid you can tell it's not real soapy. "MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT GET THE PRESTONE ANTIFREEZE - IT LOOKS THE SAME" ....they are both yellow containers that look similar.

I would love to see what people are using that cost $1/gallon. I have heard that more then once. The prestone is about $3/gallon which is a lot cheaper then buying strait methanol.

with meth mix, if you get a hook up with meth you can buy it for 3.5 a gallon, mix it with distilled water for about a dollar and you have a mix that is less than 3 bucks a gallon...
