No. It's actually a pretty good deal. It's a heat coating to keep engine bay temps down, not just for color.

I used Eastwood Hardcoat on the pipes, not paint. A friend of mine did it as a favor to me. Although we did this ourselves, this is also another option Dezod offers when you buy the kit off of them. Don't worry to much about the threads. The tap size is easily found if there is coating. It could just be very inconvenient if you’re half way through the install and have to stop and look for/buy a tap, unless you’re in a shop.
