thanks for the info! i asked nst about it and the said the reason gates is better for the 9.5lb pulley is because it is slightly smaller then the corresponding model for the gatorback so it fits better.

I have this weird sound coming from the blower with my NST pulley on. I swap the pulley back to stock and the sound went away. So I think that the pulley is making the supercharger act weird.

its probly cause the belt is loose and slipping...mine did that also when I had the 9.5psi pulley on there with the gatorback...and yes, the gatorbacks do slip pretty badly

I too had belt slipping issues when I swapped pulleys. I realized at once what the noise was because I had a boost gauge that wasnt going past 3psi but it did freak me out at first.

sell your underdriven for a NST lightweight crank pulley...with the underdriven you will be robbing boost from yourself because it will underdrive the supercharger pulley.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't belt slippage. I have the NST 9.5lb pulley with the Gates belt bought from NST's website. I am not using the Gatorback belt. The sound is also not coming from the pulley and the belt. The sound is coming from the fan blades area (the blower). I think the pulley is spinning the blades much too fast and thus it is causing some sort of problem there. I'm planning to put the NST pulley back on to see if I do get that sound again.

But for anyone who is considering swapping the NST on there, it does give you more power that you can feel.
