It all comes down to the tune and mechanical parts. If you have a bad tune, the motor is going to eventually blow. If you have crappy mechanical parts (BOV, WG, boost controller, etc), they're going to eventually fail and cause the big boom.

The oil cooler isn't necessary. Unless you're going to be doing a lot of racing, it's just pointless.

Well I don't have crappy parts. The tune is the only thing that's even partially bothering me. That's why I wanted to get it to you to look over when I get it back.

HKS - BOV
TiAL - WG
Hallman - boost controller (when I get back)
Dezon Spec'd T3/T4 - Turbochager
Mishimoto - radiator
Energy Suspension - motor mounts
etc.

Yeah that's the same thing they say. I don't race at all, I only do a lot of driving, back and forth from Auburn to Atlanta & Charlotte often times at least once a month.

You hit the nail on the head. A closer option would be World Racing, which is out in PA, or Dezod which is up in Buffalo. I'd highly recommend staying away from No Limit and RippMods, I've heard nothing but horror stories from them.

The great thing about taking the trip down to PTuning, is that you're certain to make great power and get a reliable tune. Plus they don't use any correction factor on their dyno, so you're not going to get false or inflated numbers.

Carbon do you think they'll have any issues tuning a TT stage 2 twinn scroll set up using the FIC???

I know it would make more sense to ask them but i thought i'd ask you first.

Once again sorry ecko

Who? PTuning?

Anyone that can tune an F/IC, can tune an F/IC. It doesn't matter what kit/turbo that's being tuned...

Do you happen to have a basemap?

Did you call them to schedule an appointment?

As long as you don't boost and you're cruising between a 14-15AFR you'll be fine. And like ecko said, you need to make an appointment with them.

I'd say to just make an appointment, but knowing Todd, you won't get your stuff for another 4 years.

Just drive, get on it but never at WOT. You hear the turbo start to spool you know you're too high in the RPM's and let off. It took me a few hours of driving at a really slow speed on the expressway to realize how it worked. I don't rest every 2 hours, I know you're supposed to but I just have certain times when i like to get gas so that's when I rest.

The maps are fine as long as you stay out of boost. That's the main thing. Even with the basemap and crush's maps you still would really want to avoid boost when possible. Crush's maps will ensure that if you do hit a little boost you're fine but you still want to get your car tuned and then look at that map yourself in comparision to others. Then you can even send it to Crush, Carbon, etc. for them to look at to see if they can find any issues like the ign map being hot. Nothing like your own map which you may find will look identical to some of Crush's, Carbon's, Ace's, etc. maps.

yep you can....i never want to tell someone to go ahead and start boosting on my maps until they are confident in them and have looked closely at the afr's. but let me explain that they are just base maps, they were tuned for another setup and may not be the best tune for what your getting, however they should keep you in the safety zone.

btw tell your boy to send me a couple more logs and ill try and fine tune his map
