Default auto tC turbo

I have purchased some parts for my turbo set up and now I am looking at the internally wastegated y3 .48. It comes with the actuator set at 8 psi and will not go any lower. Is this going to be okay for my auto tC? I will have to upgrade the injectors, but to what size to hold this boost safely? I will not be going above the 8psi! Is this going to work without me killing my trans? I dont think the motor will have any issue what so ever. Just want to know if I should rethink and go with an external at 6 psi. Please let me know! will i need an ATcooler or will i be okay?..thanks for all of yalls help ahead of time.

Get a cooler and 550cc injectors backed with a good tune. Mine lasted a year or so on 11 daily with 18 on occasion without issues (engine blew up). Reason for 550 is so your a/c works well without messing with your tune too much. Get a GOOD trans cooler and bypass the radiator completely; if you really want to do it right get a radiator out of the manual trans. Also 40 bucks for some good transfluid is a pretty sound investment, AMSOil Low Viscosity ATF works great in mine.

thats all there is too it with the auto, just dont beat the ____ out of it all the time, and it should last. dont be afraid to change the trans fluid often either. the colder you keep it, the longer it lasts....heat and friction is what destroy's a trans. keep that in mind when choosing your parts.

I know this is an old thread but whoaaa!!! 11-18 psi on a bone stock U-241E??? Having a U241E I've searched a lot for other's experience with boost and the concensus I found was that 250 ft lbs was the ceiling above which the trans slipped and didn't last long.

Is that wrong? I hope so...

250 is the max you want to go. I would only go to about 230 maybe 240 just to be safe. To be honest this maybe the perfect power plant for auto cross not to much and not to little. And yes I autox my auto everyweekend. hehe.

A nice set up would be 550 cc if its a daily driver 9 psi depending on turbo size.I have a built IPT auto trans that im about to sell btw to do my manuel swap and i dont go over 14 psi but thats on a greddy kit with upgraded wastgate. I keep mine at 9 psi for daily driving and when i wanna mess around i push it back up.
