Default automatic supercharger reflash?

Hey guys I had two questions 1) Is the reflash different from the manual version? 2) Why are dealerships so dumb? I swear I have called like three different dealerships, Longo, Crown, and another one because they are closest to me. So I ask them if they have the fit kit and how much it was for the automatic and they tell me that it is only for manuals, but I told him that it has been out for at least a month or two and that all you need is the fit kit, and so he takes my info and says he will look into it and call me back! This same thing happened at all three dealerships, and still nobody has called me back 5 days later. The same thing happend with I believe it was the cold air intake or something else, everytime I call or ask them they have no idea. There is no way I am going to let them install my supercharger, I dont care about warranty man I would rather do it myself and no that I did it right than let them do it and overtighten my bolts and screw up my seals. What sucks is that I thought longo is supposed to be the best dealership in the nation or some crap. Also does anyone know why my tire pressure light keeps coming on, I keep reseting it and I even took it to longo, and they said it was cuz I changed my rims and the valve is now metal and the sensor is no longer there or something, but I dont know how much I can trust them?

Ok.......all you need is the supercharger. And the automatic fit kit. You use the manual tranny reflash module plus in the auto fit kit instructions there is a code for the auto tranny that uses a scan tool to mess with the ecu some more. the super charger kit is just for the manual, but there is a fit kit to make it fit the auto (that is how i had to explain it to the dealer). here is the p/n ptr01-21051. most dealers have not done enough to know which way is what so you have to baby them and arm yourself with all the knowledge of the part you can.

You cannot do the the install on an automatic tc by yourself. you need to have access to a toyota scan tool and the TIS system to download a software update for the pcm. Without this your transmission will have issues. Also you must have access to a reflash tool to reflash the pcm with the TRD map. There are 2 seperate reflashs with 2 seperate tools necessary to do an automatic supercharger install.

Ok if you dont care about warranty then save yourself some hassle, money, and get more power with a turbo kit! End of discussion, end of b*tching!

some dealerships are dumb like that.
i had to bring the autofit kit instruction to them.
so they would know after they reflash my ecu that they had to do the tis calibration update for the ecm.
if you are going supercharger make sure they follow the instruction.

correct me if im wrong but i thought that all you had to do was take your ecu to toyota and have them reflash it? I thought the auto fit kit comes with the scan tool? The reason I dont want them to install it is because everytime I ask them something they have no idea what im talking about, im actually scared to get it reflashed by them in a way also cuz im not sure if they will do it correctly.

No reflash tool comes with the kit. A map module comes with the the kit. You need to either borrow, rent, or purchase a TRD reflash tool. They run between 500-600 depending on the dealership. Then you need to physically take your car with pcm installed to a dealer so they can reflash it again with the toyota reflash tool using TIS. Also you need to make sure that they even have the trd reflash tool. It is not a required tool so many if not most dealers do not have it. The dealer I work at does not have the tool, they actually rent it from me because I do own one.

There is no code necessary. However you must be a certified toyota tech to do the reflash. Only certified techs can access the ecm reflash utility.
