Balance Shaft Delete Kit - Pros/Cons - No Delete Kit Yet???
I used to own a Mazda 3 and had removed the Balance Shaft. Bought the kit for like 20 bucks. Just a simple screw and a plug bassically. It removed about 13lbs i believe and also helped reduce parasctic drag on the engine. Was a noticable gain and easy to install.
It DID increase engine vibrations. Can we do this on the 2azfe???

EDIT: It was ZPI that made a kit for the tC. IIRC, it included a windage tray.
I cant locate blues post, but as mentioned, you remove the shafts and you plug the oil passage. Tap the hole for a bolt, insert bolt and apply something to hold the bolt in place for good, like JB weld or loc-tite (on the threads in that case).
I just did a search on Balance Shafts and found all the info anyone could want. There were several threads, more than one person has done it, there are how-to's posted along with pics...so SEARCH people!

The point was, this topic is done. If people would search first, this thread wouldn't exist.
