Default Belt length for NST 9.5lb pulley

I just installed the 9.5lb pulley and the Gates K070890 belt (RockAuto), and I am getting a squealling at startup, and at about 3k rpms. The belt is seated properly at all pulleys, and centered on both tensioner pulleys. I'm guessing this is belt slip, so I did a search here to make sure I got the correct belt.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...26quot%3B+belt

This thread mentions that the belt should be 89", the part number suggests it's 89" but the packaging lists 89 3/4". I noticed this belt was alot easier to put on than the stock pulley and belt too.

Wow, someone actually replied to this! The tensioner pulley is working right so that isn't the problem, I also tried some belt dressing, it still slips at higher rpms though. I wanted to get this belt to work since I got it online ,so it's not as easy to return. I am going to try a K070882 belt.

Let me know how it works out for you cause mine is still screeching on start-up and also when engaging the clutch into first with the a/c on.

Did the oem pulley and belt work good for? It never gave me any problems.

Oem pulley and belt worked fine, I bought a new belt K070880 (they didn't have the 882), the next step down was 885 which is 89 1/8" and the 880 is 88 1/2" compared to the 890- 89 3/4". The 880 fit, barely, and I'm no longer getting any belt slip. I'm wondering if the belt could be too tight?

Mine squeaks sometimes when it gets humid out. I fit it by spraying simple green on it and then doing some hard driving for a few minutes. That usually does the trick, when it does squeal it sounds like an animal is being slaughtered under the hood.
