Default best location for maf sensor!

Where is the best placement for a MAF sensor mine is before the turbo on the intake pipe with the air filter, would after the turbo and before the blow off valve be a better location? as for the reading would be more proper ?!

and if anyone has pictures of where their maf is located post them up!!!

mine is right before the throttle body, way after the turbo, and BOV is right after the intercooler. No problems so far.

The best spot is the OEM location. Right after the air filter, between the air filter and the turbo itself. Basically, the intake pipe is where you want it.

yeah, seriously, your last name isn't dezod? then where does the name of your company come from?

but the maf sensor is after the air filter, but it has to be a few inches away because of the turbulance of the incoming air can mess with the sensor right? and the intake piping should be the same diamter as the MAF sensor between the intake and the MAF i think.

our SN's used to be Joe@Dezod and Paul@Dezod, but scion life changed something and changed our names on us. Now everyone thinks it's our last name.

A MAF should always go on the intake pipe, and not a pressurized charge pipe, regardless of EMS.

With the Hydra you put the MAF in the spare parts box. It has a built in 3 bar map sensor like god intended.

No you don't. You only do if you don't grab an air temp sensor but they are super cheap. Remember, stock MAF also has the air temp sensor built in so you have to run a different one and wire it up if you want to take it out completely. I like to run them in the charge pipe before throttle body so I can see charge temps and adjust for them in the map but you can run it in intake pipe if you like. Hel you can run the stock maf and zip tie it in engine bay temporarily if you have to just to get an air temp reading. ECU uses MAP for the mapping itself.

By the way Mike that is a great time for such a trap speed. I'm trapping almost 116 MPH on stock motor and not much better time. Then again I have wheel hop like crazy (all stock suspension other than springs).
