Best S/C install price in NJ and NY !!!
I just came back from Liberty Toyota in Burlington NJ. I spoke with a man named Keith Robinson. He answered all of my questions and, as promised, gave me the best possible price on my supercharger install. I have done my homework and in the NY/NJ area the best price is around $700 (some places are charging as high as $1200). Keith’s price was $520 which was lower then the already low price of $550 that I was told (by another guy on the forum).
I bought my S/C from trdsparks and they were great people to work with. For some reason I wasn’t sent my tracking number (or I deleted the email by mistake) and sparks resent me the email the very next day. The S/C left sparks dealership Monday and was at my house by Wednesday! Keith was able to schedule the install for the very next day …what other dealer can do that?
Keith said that for him to perform the install (if you don’t buy it from him), the box can not be opened. He said that his tech will open things up and make sure all the parts are there before the install.
I am going to write a follow up post within the next few days. Stay Tuned! Another man on the forum directed me to him and hyped him up so much that I am going to expect things to be installed correctly ..that is why I feel the need to start this post in advance before I get my car back. Oh yea – and I received a loaner car without any hassle.
Here is Keith’s info if interested:

Yes but thats in texas. There is nobody cheaper around here. Plus ...its not even about the cost ...its about a fair price and good customer service (and a good install).
Can't wait to get the car back - the only bad part is ... it might rain tomorrow and I took 1/2day (again) so I can pick it up as soon as they say its done. Only good part is that I will be going from middle to south jersey during the afternoon so I won't be hitting the hardcore traffic on the turnkpike. Took me 20min more to get home today after I dropped the car off due to traffic (no accident or anything ...just a bunch of people going very slow).
Well – I picked my car up today (2pm) after I got out of work and had zero complaints. I spoke with the guy that installed the S/C and Keith for a while – he said that the car was test driven and things are good to go (props also to the man who installed the s/c).
I got on it a few times (while driving home) but for the most part I drove slowly. Part of the reason for this was because of all the traffic I hit on the turnpike – I am going to put more miles on the s/c before ripping through the gears (which I rarely do but I wouldn’t mind just testing things out).
Overall – The car is now quick. I grew up around mustangs, trans ams, and camaros so speed is nothing new. The part I like about the tC is that things are real smooth. As my primary car – the s/c is a good deal because its not over powered but allows you to run through second and third if you need to pull out on a busy street or whatever the case is.
I would have taken some pictures but it started to rain hard as hell. I also had the dealership install the boost gauge because I wanted everything done when I picked up the car. In reality its just a post/neg/air wire that need to get hooked up and wouldn’t have taken long …but I have done a pretty lot of other work to my car already.

is pretty darn nice looking. If you want to keep your gauge out of the way and behind the shifter …that is the piece to get. The reason why I have a gauge is because I have never owned a forced induction car and wanted to learn how to stay out of boost when not needed. I have heard manyyy people say “once you hit the gas you are going to be making some kind of boost” blahblahblahblahbalh…. …..no not really. If I drive easy …its actually pretty easy to stay out of boost. This was one of the main things that drew me away from the s/c was the fact that I thought I would always be riding boost (and draining gas). BUT – like I am stating again, that isn’t the case. Second reason was to monitor for boost leak. With a turbo a boost gauge is needed a lot more because the boost can just be turned up. With a s/c you just can’t turn up the boost via a electronic/manual device.
Anyway – I’m done rambling. Props to Liberty Toyota! They made an impression on me that my dealership can’t compete with. If I knew about them before I bought my car…..they would have been who I bought it from. Right now they have a pretty nice blue tC that I was liking. If I only made three times the money ( so I had money to burn) I would have traded mine in and bought it (it looked nice w/o the emblem on the grille).
