Best Turbo out there for your buck
Benefits of the Turbonetics are the warranty and the extra power. a downfall is the unichip and the limited tuners available for it.
Greddy makes a good kit, but it has an inter wg. And SOME people have had issues with that.

Don't boost on a budget!
Turbo Toyotas will get you to 350whp no problem for $3600.
Just add injectors and fuel management.
And it's good for over 400whp if you wanna build your block down the road!
Now THAT is bang for you buck...or did you mean you just wanted the cheapest kit you could get?

thats cold.
COLD. i'm getting the bolts on the 23rd so im going to start putting everything together that thursday. gosh! and find a way to get it to a shop that will do a downpipe.
^^ the problems of going custom. if you get everything squared away before you start. you can save about 1k - 2k depending on how you prepared.

BTW question, what makes the turbonetics make 300hp at 8psi,is it the management, injectors, turbo, pipes? or its just some advertsment thing but actual dynos show lower than that, more or less around dezod S1 #s?
NICE aen! Why are you starting on a thursday? So you can take it to the shop that weekend? I don't think my wife has a hitch on the pacifica, so I dont' think I can help you there.
ace: I've never seen a turbonetics kit dyno more then 240 without modification.

yeah numbers i've seen in turbonetics were around 230-250. Before they advertise 100whp more at 8psi, now im seeing 300whp at 8 psi..oh well.
icebound remember to set your goals first and learn about Forced induction first if you're new to it before you decide on buying, it will help you define "best bang for the buck" and dont rush your decision, there's a lot to know about turbo than just bolt on power.

except i wouldnt go up to 350. a cool 300 would be fine
I'm shooting for 330 on the stock block.
And I think turbonetics got those numbers by seeing the dyno for one of the brothers (yamaha I think?) who did a bunch of work and switched to the hydra and put out 300whp.

Yeah...it was yamaha16bw. If you look in his profile: https://www.scionlife.com/profile/yamaha16bw you will see he had the turbonetics kit "and then some" and put just over 300whp. I think I remember a turbonetics rep asking him if they could use that on thier forums to show what their kit was capable of, or something like that.
But his profile says 10.5psi, not 8.5. In any event, that's with the Hydra standalone ($2K?) and alot of good tuning.
