I sent you a email sadistic, just a pre-warning to anyone else on eBay beware of any "Second Chance Offer" emails with instructions to send information to personal email accounts outside of eBay. Western Union appears to have numerous flaws that inhibit you to learn any information in reguards to who picks up the money sent. Ill stay tuned on the forum to read any new info and in turn exchange any useful info i have.

NEVER reply to "Second chance offers" on eBay.
Almost every one is a scam.
If you lose an auction to a reputable seller, move on.

Also, get PayPal to insure you against a$$holes - I got ripped by some scam artist and they got me my money within 10 days.

Look for auctions that are private for expensive items - this means your ID will be keep secret, thus avoiding bogus offers.

Moral of the story so far?

1) If you're gonna run a scam, make sure that the person scammed does not belong to a fairly close-knit online community.

2) Don't scam cops. They will eventually bring the long arm of the law down on you, and it will be closed fisted and aimed for your a$$hole...no lube of course.

Eventually this guy will be caught, and, will you look at that? He's scamming accross state lines!! Ladies and gentlemen, this won't be some resort time, this will be a "federal pound-you-in-the-a$$ prison"

I'm sure the OP appreciates the effort, but i hope nobody goes after pruit with their claws out, it may (likely) just be coincidence that the douchebag rippin' ppl off threw out that name. I found that when we were thinkin that the clown was in SC. turns out the perp is in FL

yeah... fake id(s) = fake name(s).

to pick up money from western union, you need either a drivers liscense or passport (i think).... both are possible to get fakes made. seems like he gives a different name each time, so i wouldn't be surprised if Pruit is just one of the scam names.
