im just curious to see if anyone has gotten a bigger intercooler for there dezod kit.. seeing as im doing a lot of engine work im thinking about getting a larger intercooler.. (also partly for looks) everyone always tells me "hey u got a small IC" ..

but im just wondering what i could replace it with? what options are out there? would an intercooler that came with a different kit fit?

 

Larger ICs aren't always better by any means. Especially in the case of your car for a few reasons:

1) Space confinements
2) Air flow to the IC if it's being blocked by the bumper is useless
3) Loss of boost pressure due to drag
4) Longer exchange of heat has to occur (which can be good and bad)

i was just looking around cuz i wud really like a IC that would take up more of the lower grill area but im just gonna get mine anodized black anyway so it doesnt make a difference.

If the IC could FIT the lower grille area it would look 10x better.

dezod should start offering to anodize their intercoolers for the buyers.. obviously this wudnt be free but a great suggestion. i wish i could have done this.

anodizing doesnt effect the thermal efficiency of the IC. well thats what ive been reading atleast.. and no. not always. if one is trying to set a theme to his/her car for show quality or mag photo shoots then so be it...

 

I'm not talking about anodizing it, I'm talking about getting one that 'fits' the lower grille. That would result in a less efficient IC.
