Default Blow off Valve question

Should the Blow off valve be mounted before or after the MAF and how close.

Choice is yours. Some companies such as us have done it before the compressor housing (intake pipe) and others have it before the TB.

sounds like a general question and not about his setup. like pros and cons of before or after the turbo.

Well he should position the BOV after the turbo obviously but if the MAF is before the turbo then it definitely should not be near it as it should be on the other side of the turbo. Also I guess if the MAF is on the pressure side of the turbo then I would still position the BOV further away from the MAF, before the MAF, and still on the pressure side of the turbo.

Thanks for the help, but I don’t have a stand alone EMS right now I won’t have for a couple of months, in which config the car more street able you know not stalling and stuff like that.

The MAF is after the turbo right before the intake manifold.

Yes, put it before the MAF, I believe SP has their BOV mounted low on the charge pipe.

You still can. It just a matter of how you have your pipes and if you have room to put it there.
