and the stock maf tube is 2.75 OD and just shy of 2.5 IN problem with most people is they get a 2.75 pipe and a flange of it for the maf and boom check engine...
Sometimes I forget that there are a multitude of differences between the TC and XB, despite sharing the same engine. My oem MAF tube is 2.75" ID but apparently yours is not. Using a 2.67" ID MAF tube I get a P0101 that won't go away but apparently your ECU isn't as picky about it since you've obviously reduced your MAF tube ID by more than I did by adding aluminum pipe inside it. Not to mention the turbulence induced if your al pipe isn't one piece with just a small hole for the MAF.

Anyway, I'm glad you were so lucky with your MAF setup.

no no i didnt reduce the size of the tube i cut out 2 small aluminum tubes into half an inch wide and stuck it on the ends of the maf tube just so it give me enough lips to clamp it without breaking plastic... and we use the same maf tube i guess i took wrong measurements

Whatever works = win

Using the MAF tube from the airbox was a very good idea. I have some ideas about why my intake setup is causing the P0101 but if I can't fix it by other means, I may cut the MAF tube off my airbox or get one of these:

I'd like to see some pics of this as well. I wanted to move to a blow-thru a while ago but I was told I would need to re-configure the MAF (or something like that).

Indeed. OBD2 scan tools are incredibly useful tools. Besides reading and clearing codes I monitor and record a lot of stuff not available through the FIC logging.

yea ima go with the ELM327 that we discussed previously. it seems to be the best nag for your buck, did u have any installations issues or is it just pretty much plug n play and install cd

Very much PnP, although not as simple to use as a scangauge. Scangauge is a nice all-in-one solution but if you already have a portable PC, an ELM327 based OBD2 to USB2 interface lets you do much more. The much larger screen lets you see more data at once, there are more parameter IDs (PIDs) available and data logging is only limited by your HDD capacity.

The hardest thing I encountered with the installation was having to input the ELM's assigned com port into the OBD app and that's not hard at all. Just look in device manager under "ports" and find the com port # assigned to "USB serial port" and enter it into your OBD app. Better apps find it automatically but some of the free apps require you to enter it manually.

THE GOOD:

feels like stock now off boost and not stuttering, hesitation, bogging, and no stalling

THE BAD:

car feels like in boost its not as fast could be one of three things
-boost leak
-today was warmer than last night
-charge pipe temps are warmer
- it took my 12.2 afr tune to a 11.8-11.6 tune which is safer but i guess slower..
Im glad you decided to switch to the blown-thru set up!!!! I knew you would like it. It made me so happy when I switched...My car ran like poop before I switched - Good luck!
