Default Boost Creep possible solutions

Unexpensive solutions please. I heard,"get a new turbo manifold" but that will have me change all the piping and customize things. I heard,"get a boost controller" but this only helps to limit the creep. It doesnt fix it. Any suggestions?

go back to stock....boost creep is almost inevitable....a new manifold will fix it and so will a boost controller.....on the boost controller you can just have it cut boost at 8psi

lol Well thats one idea. But i dont think ill be able to go back to stock. Im running a turbonetics kit and from what i hear its exhaust manifold was designed incorrectly for the wastegate. Its not allowing it to work properly. Getting a larger wastegate might work but i dont want to spend money for something that might work. Any ideas?

i would see if they have an updated exhaust manifold if not i would get a different manifold.......i mean you can just tell your tuner it tune it to whatever psi your creeping to and just go with that.

thats what i did. i was running wastegate pressure than i got a three inch exhaust and it started creeping to 10psi so i had ptuning tune it to that

Not to thread jack but j/w cuz when im in 5th and i WOT it goes up to 11-13psi then levels back out to 10psi (which i am tuned at) within a couple of seconds..

is that what boost creep is??

thats more of a boost spike... creep is where it gets higher and stays there until you let off the throttle...

^^ exactly.. spike sucks more than creep imo, it also most probably a more serious problem than boost creep

Boost creep is easily preventable with a well built manifold and properly sized wastegate.

^^ speaking of wastegate, the 44mm i bought from you worked amazing!!! no boost creeep and very consistent, i actually have to up the wastegate crack pressure on my controller to make spool more faster.. but then my axle broke on 4th run!!

Good to hear. Sorry to hear about the axle. How did you like the dump tube the shop quickly fabbed?

Like I said a good built manifold and properly sized wastegate for turbo and exhaust flow.

didnt run your dump tube just yet. Thats probably why I was so laggy on the 1st 3 runs coz it did a great job dumping exhaust starting 6 psi.. 6 psi was may wastegate opening on the boost controller, had it that way to help boost creeping issue of my old 38mm

There's nothing wrong with his wastegate / manifold setup. Get a boost controller.

My boost is rock solid at 10psi and I have a boost controller. Full boost at 3200 rpm on a conservative tune to redline.

If other exact setup is not creeping then it might not be the manifold or wg.. as for me, the wastegate size was the issue on my setup since boost im running is low a bit low for turbo i have

little more practice and a little tuning youll be running 14s if not 13s. rt is pretty slow...lol...doesnt really sound like you were really launching it. i think my first time at the track was pretty similer so dont worry about it. I think your stock axle was prolly already on its way out though.
