Default Boost "issues" on TRD SC

Well, hello. Currently I am just running on my 9.5lb pulley again, but on my AEM boost gauge the highest I seem to be seeing is like 7.5lb. Out of boost, it reads something like 20-24 vacuum, for what thats worth. I am trying to figure out if it is my BPV, the gauge, or just normal. I had to go back to the 9.5 from a 10.5 because I am waiting for a tune.

Right now my car has:

TRD Reflash (F/IC is unhooked)
full exhaust (header---Back)
NST 9.5lb Pulley
AEM Boost Gauge

I think thats all that would effect this.

I know we get like 5 of these a week, but I am looking for ay input, thanks!

running the 9.5lbs pulley wont do any good if ur still running the stock BPV, you need to upgrade to a Forge or a stiffer Bosch if u wanna keep it the same brand as the factory

all the extra boost ur SC is making is being leaked out through the stock BPV

yeah... I didnt have the gauge on it before. I really didnt plan this one out. It is only temporary with the 9.5 for a couple days, but still, I would like to get it worked out for that time. Its going in next week for the Water/meth, injectors, and the 10.5 tune.

Thanks for the input though, at least someone chipped in haha..

gauge might be inaccurate too. check vacuum lines and make sure they're all zip-tied. when you tune, tune it off a MAP sensor instead of the MAF and you'll know definitely how much boost you're at.

OK, so I am still waiting for my spring kit for the 007... I ordered it a week ago, and it is pretty irritating that it hasnt come in or anything yet...

I would hope the gauge would be fairly accurate, I haven't heard complaints about the AEM gauges. All VAC lines are zip tied and tight, and I mad sure it wasn't getting pinched where i goes through the firewall.

where did you tap the vac line for the boost gauge? the farther it is from the throttle body, the more inaccurate it gets...

tap the gauge as close to the TB as you can and use the red spring with 3 shims. I was having the same problem but no I'm hitting 10lbs regularly.

Ok, well I actually found my issue... the bel was slipping pretty bad. I have my 10.5 back on now with the right belt for it, and I am definitely working properly now. I actually have the blue spring with 3 shims now. boost starts ~2500 and hits 10 on my gauge just before redline.

Thanks for the help!

Eleventybillion...

honestly, I dont know. I am going to get in touch with Dezod this week, and hopefully get the AEM F/iC tuned then Ill put it on a dyno. I think I am going to hold off on the water injection for the time being, I dont think its worth the effort (the kit is in my garage)

I know with the 9.5 it didnt build until 3k, and with the 10.5 I make 2lbs at 2500 RPM. I never had a gauge on it with the stock pulley.
