Default Boost will not go up!! Any input?? Uni chip concerns....

Okay now I did check all the lines and the boost controller is reading properly. Now I also changed the wastgate spring to about 13psi. Set the Profec II controller to about 11 psi and well... nothing still runs 8psi. Turned the controller off and still hit 8psi. Now I know I have to tune it but no one in town has the software to tune it so here are my questions:

Where can I purchase the Unichip software, or do I have to go to Phoenix for this(im in Tucson) Local shop has a Dyno and Certified Tuner.

Do you guys think this could be a bad selinoid for the boost controller??

Any info will help cause this is getting me kinda bummed being its really rich and i'm losing power.

What boost controller are you using, I have heard i believe the GReddy Boost Controller having a bad solenoid before

Woon isnt certified in UniChip either, I thought he was? haha oh well, thats why I am running Ultimate lol

Check with Vivid and dynoCOMP

whatever you do... do NOT go to Kingpin!

I would by by-pass the profec and try it. Since you are not tuned for higher boost I would just get it into third or fouth and run it up against the brake (this way you can control the boost without spiking) and see if it goes above 8psi. If it does go higher than you can look into the install of the profec. If not you may have gotten the wrong spring. I have had several problems with the profec in the past.

I'll try the MBC today and see how that works out. Now when I bypassed the Profec the boost was a tad over 8 but not over 9psi. I was wondering if it is possible to get the software and tune it yourself. I understand Munch has it (from what I heard) so he tunes his unichip himself.

BTW where is Kingpin at BlkSandPrlTurbotC?? What did he do?? Bad tuner??

They not only are bad tuners they really have d!cked over the WRX and Evo Community in the area. I've heard many many bad things about them, they drink on the job, they smoke weed on the job, they blow peoples engines up on purpose, they steal from customers, ....

just a really bad company... and the owner is 26 yrs old
