a stock valvetrain will rev to 7500 without floating. this is where i would keep my rev limit at due to piston speed. its about the same piston speeds as an s2000 at 9k rpms.

Sounds to me like your valve locks were not put in properly, we use ferrea for every motor we build and is in mine as well and we have never ever had a problem with them. By the way the guy who builds our Motors is my boss you may have heard of him from his drag racing days Vinny Ten. good luck with getting your car back together soon Mike at Boost works does good work, and I like his fabricating creativity!!!

not the only one this happened too. some of Subaru guys had the same problems. also the ones they make are wider then the oem ones. i really think i might of floated them but i don't ever think i have ever seen after market keepers snap from floating.

Ahhh they told us that the you have to use ferrea retainers with their keepers which I used everything ferrea didnt want anything oem in their. well thats why they failed. Who told you you could use them with oem valvetrain?
Also it says right on Ferreas website that they have to be used with their titanium retainers
