boosting it
well im not saying you should have to ask your parents for money now, when your 25, i wouldnt do that either... but my question is, if they have the money to buy you your first car and they are willing, why not? I didnt ask for my car, they gave it to me. Also, I do have a job and am working for the mods that I want.
and also, I know I need to know more about what I want which is why I'm asking about everything, and I have an 05 or 06. And I dont really care about my car sounding loud at all. I was also thinking about maybe lambo doors, but I cant decide if I car more about looks or performance. Which one do you think is better? I would say performance but I really like the speed of my car now. Although it would be cool to be alot faster, idk help?
Honestly? I'd learn the car...
Learn to feel when the VT kicks in...learn what it's like in corners...learn it's braking abilities...get to know the car as best you can. In reading this and other Scion forums, there are many people looking to just "mod" their car because the next guy (or gal) is doing it. Find out what suits your style of driving (AutoX? 1/4 Mile runs? You wanna beat the guy down the street who's in an STi? You want to win a trophy for "Most Kick-A$$-lookin' tC?) and then prioritize which upgrade you'd want first. Also take into consideration budget.
Would you like better handling? Think about beefier sways - maybe lowering it and getting grippier shoes for it.
You want more HP? Start with an intake, header, and exhaust system. Which one should you get? Search around in the forum here - that's how I figured it out.
There are loads of ways to make the tC, but just putting them in without really knowing why is not very helpful to you, and you could damage the car (or yourself) if you don't take the time to learn what you're doing.
There are some people here that will bash you if you ask questions that are easily found, or if the question is vague (i.e. what's the best [insert part here]?), and that's a pretty quick way to start a flame war (it's not worth it).
Sorry if any of this sounds like I'm being a jerk - it's not my intention.

well this just my personal opinion, but I hate when people try to make their car look fast and sporty but it's still a dog off the line. you have to decided whether you want your car to be a blast to drive or do you just want to draw attention to yourself and get people to look at your car. At this point in your modding you should just get some lowering spring and some nice wheels. It will look a lot better but still be fun as hell when you hit the curvy roads.
It's better to have upgrade suspension before you go get a turbo anyways, torque steer can be a b*tch for someone not used to a high powered FWD car.

Agreed with the above statement. New performance tires (summer tires) and a new rear sway make an immediately noticable difference. New springs and struts enhance this further. That's roughly $1200-$1500 well spent. TRD makes rear sways, springs and struts that are all high quality parts and can be installed at your dealer.
In my opinion, our car comes with pretty good size wheels for performance, and changing those out is mostly cosmetic.

I was ******* you because I have answered the same questions you asked 5 times in the last 2 weeks!
yes, this is a forum to find answers, but you gotta at least put in an effort first. Use the search button. Browse throught first 5 pages of the FI board, and if you still dont' find what your looking for, THEN post up your questions. We will be more then happy to help you.

Secondly, if you are comfortable with the speed of the car now, why not work on the looks of the car, with a little performance.
Why not get an intake, and an exhaust for the car. I'm sure there are exhaust systems out there that aren't very loud, but help the performance of the car. And an intake will help the car "breath" better. And it will be a good starting point to maybe turbo the car in the future once you feel your car is too slow

Personally, I'd suggest lowering springs, a sway bar, intake, exhaust, and maybe a lip kit for the car. Not some outrageous body kit, but something just to accent the car, and make it "your own". But like I said, that's just what I would do in your position. Turbo'ing a car is not as easy as just tossing the thing on, and going. You need to be ready for things to start breaking, and you need to know what to watch for to avoid breaking things. Learn about your car some more, do more simple modifications, then start looking into getting a turbo set up.
