Default Bosch 710 or 710n BPV

I know that everyone is switching to the BOSCH 110 bpv. But my question is what are the specs on the 710 or 710N. I have a Bosch 710 on my car now and i noticed a difference the biggest being the engine sounds so much louder. Any info would be great.

If I remember from my VW days, the n is better than the others, however an aftermarket unit will be much better. Check out VWvortex or generationdub. They have lots of threads about bypass valves and alternatives. There is even one that makes a sound like a BOV while still acting like a BPV.

I'm not sure on specs, but I had a 710n on my GTi and it spiked at 1.5bar (21psi) and held at 1.3 (about 18psi). The valve is pretty cheap at any dealer. You might want to check at vwvortex.com for the specs.
