This place has DEFINATELY quieted down since we found some NON-Modified cars that are having the same problems...

What happened?

 

 

still no problems here...but I was looking at the feed and return lines for the oil system. How much bigger than the inlet should the return be? The return is much bigger than the tiny oil inlet. Granted the blue rubber part of the inlet is bigger, but the 90 degree connector off the engine is very small. I would think that return would be plenty of sizing to keep up with what that inlet was providing.

Of course the input is under pressure, whereas the return is simply a drain...

ive been following this post but I thought the people w/ the header that is closer to the S/C would yield more heat and could be the cause of the break? ....this was disproved?

 

well kinda cause there is one (unconfirmed cause we dont have pictures yet) of a guy with either the same or similar problem and he is stock.

 

plus mine is leaking on the side by the pulley which is the highest point away from the header runners.

 

SimplyScion, sorry to hear about your problem, but you seem to be unique, or just part of a VERY small percentage of "MURPHY's LAW" defects.

 

yea, it makes me wonder how many s/c are out there modded or unmodded with problems compared to how many superchargers are out there.

Man, we really need to get some pics of these stock S/C tC oil leaks.. Maybe we can get some response from TRD and see WTF is up.

i'm definitely not so sure about getting one of these, now.

 

just dont mod it, trd will have to figure it out and fix it, "perfect it" - if you will, and then mod it. thats my plan.

 

yep, just keep it stock and they have no argument.
