65# should be sufficient for the head studs. I would make sure that you torque all 10 studs at the same torque, either 65# or 70#.

Re use the studs. The threads in the block will give azz long before you break a stud.

We reuse studs in 500-800 hp smallblocks every year. However Rod bolts should be replaced at every freshen up.
