Can this "stuff" come off of my header?
Just like the title states, I have some junk on my header and I can't get it off. So here's the thing, I got a used header and the previous owner had some black "stuff" on the header making it looking pretty dirty because in it's original state it was supposed to be "chrome" looking. This is the MMW header. It just looks really dirty. Can anyone tell me how to clean it if its possible. Here are some pictures: (ps the white stuff is okay, its just styrofoam.)

Peanut butter.
No seriously, I saw a link about how peanut butter can remove corrosion on a lot of things. Can't remember where it was, exactly. I think it was linked on ScionLife somewhere... It was quite impressive though, so I'd definitely give it a try. Buy some cheap PB for a couple bucks, and it really can't hurt anything, other than making you hungry. :D

Yep like he said ^^^ jet hot.
i think peanut butter only works on aluminum...thought i could be wrong.
whats it matter anyway as long as the header is in good condition with no cracks or warped flanges, its all good @#$%! under hood bling...

please, don't mess with the peanut butter. not worth over the header. maybe stainless steel cleaner solutions they sell at sears/dillards for pots and pan would work? cancerous but well worth the try.
Okay I have the header installed, I used bug and tar remover and it didn't come off, oh well...I'll just not open my hood at shows haha. I am thinking about using sandpaper with 800 grit then polishing with 1000 grit or something
