I recently read about people wanting a bov on there s/c for the sound. some say impossible I say it can be done. Using the HKS BOV is the only one that will work properly for the s/c set up.It will not open under idal or under boost cause of the two chambers inside. It will open only when there is a change in vacuum , meaning letting of the gas or when shifting for that sound we all crave for.
Adaptor pipe 6 inches long cut 2.5 to 3 inches out of hose

after cuting this is what it will look like

couple of clamps hold it in place then mount it.run your vac lines you can tee in or get a manifold vacuum block like this.
its from voodoo for a nice clean look. then you will need a air gang control valve going to the bov to limit the amount of vac. only little is needed to open. you can pick up these at your fish store or you can use a manual boost control. I used the fish store cause it happened to be the same color of my lines and there small and same size of lines 4mm
once complete little ajustments on the valve using the gang and the screw on the back of the BOV and there ya have it. PSSHHHHH!!!!! love the sound. for under 200-250 bucks and a hour for install its well worth it.

final pic looks good but sounds a hole lot better.
Tell me what ya think.

greenbox has had an HKS on his RS1 S/C (The Red Baron) for a while now. You do not want to be standing next to it when it blows off... it'll make your ear bleed.

I used one with a recirc setup. Did not work well open air, worked as well as any other BOV open air on a maf setup. I used a 1" inlet and 1" recirc nozzle on mine.

yes, I would very much like to hear a clip please... I'm planning on getting the s/c and along with that, the emanage ultimate (or blue?), 9.5psi or 12psi pulley, and a BOV of course. I'm tired of hearing Neons and Audi A3s goin around shifting and showin off in my face, once I boost and get myself to about 250whp and beyond, we'll see who's better... freakin Neon and Euro cars....

Unless you are seriously going to boost above 9PSI, don't bother with a piggyback controller. You can't do much more ontop of the TRD MAPS. Kenny Tran tuned mine to 228.4WHP. I have the Greddy Ult, 9PSI pulley, SRI, exhaust, an such. The car ran better w/o the Greddy on no maps till it was tuned. A stand alone is about the best thing to go with. When I go with a built motor after the summer, that is what I am going with.

the real HKS wont work on the s/c setup full atmostphere, unless you got the 1st gen BOV with the adjustment screw on the back to tighten the spring load. im guessing your "HKS" has the adjustment screw? also i highly doubt the quality of the components are the same. but anyways, first time ive seen the BOV setup like that... good job.

but yea, you can run a Greddy RS bov full atmosphere. you just need to tighten the preload till the car doesnt have idle issues or stalls. it works great. you dont even need to cut into the s/c hoses
