Ok well my friend has an evo with a ebay high flow cat he passed emission! well he told me that with his car turned down to 1 psi he covered the o2 sensor right after the cat with a tiny piece of aluminum foil and he passed with 0 in all the tests. The foil will block of anything coming from the header while keeping the sensor hot so the check engine light is not on.................let me know if im wrong!

 

Well.............the issue isn't necessarilly the snifer test as it is the visual inspection test. A tC is not factory boosted so I think there in lies the issue. Not sure though.

 

Yeah, i have the answer too. buy an evo if you want a turbo car that passes emission. lol

 

or just dont care about emissions. Gotta love having friends that do inspections.

 

I pass emissions all the time, no cats on any of my cars. TN isn't a butthole state like most. Depend on which station you go to, they just don't give a damn.

Ya, you either have to know somebody.... or remove the mods, test, re-install.

 

you can buy a cat'ed downpipe from dezod and pass emissions easy can't you?
