car not starting
ok guys i need some help. i installed my turbo setup and i got around to my fuel return setup which is custom i am running a aeromotive a1000 fpr, golden eagle fuel rail, and walbro fuel pump. i set up my new feel line exactly where the old one was. return line is fed thru jus like dezods kit is and you can hear the pump cut on. ive primed it but injectors are still bone dry. i even pulled the inline filter to see if it was getting fuel to that point and nothing. i would really appreciate it if someone would a brotha out i would appreciate it. my number is 3022333186 if i dont get back to my computer in time.

what brett said...also how long did you try for? may take a few cranks until lines fill up with fuel. have a buddy check the fuel pressure gauge while you crank (i assume you have a gauge on the fpr)

i have a fuel pressure regularor gauge and it was reading. i figured out why it wasnt starting and it was because of the fact that i didnt block off the stock regular. a buddy explained to me exactly how the entire fuel system works so it makes more sense. but how did you guys block off your stock regulator for those of you who dont run a dezod or ptuning kit?

so did you put a bolt at the top that goes into the sending unit or the end facing the fuel tank?

The part that has that hole in the end - its the end that faces up when its in the tank. The idea is that on that side, the fuel pressure will force the bolt in further, rather than trying to blow it out

You have to set the regulator - sorry cant answer my phone b/c Im at work. Have someone crank the car while you turn up the regulator and get it to at least 43.5 psi (stock fuel pressure). With your injectors I'd try starting out with around 55 psi base pressure. The goal is to keep your base pressure as low as possible, while still having enough fuel for your power goals. But remember, every time you change your base press, its going to affect your tune.

man the gauge isnt moving at all while im tryin to crank it up. its getting fuel because wen i disconnect the return line fuel purs out. it doesnt really seem like its draining tho. the feed line from the rail to the regulator goes to the side of the regulator correct?

I made a DIY, on solving the stock FPR pressure a few years ago...at the time not too many people realized the benefit.

If you don't use the stock filter make sure you have a filter downstream of the pump.
