Default Car still smoking need help!!

Okay so I originally turbod my car and found my turbo had bad seals and caused my car to smoke severely, I drove it around like that for a month or two until I got money for a new Garrett, I put on the new turbo and the car is still smoking pretty significantly I was told that it is probably from all the oil built up in my exhaust and manifold and everything. You can see that there is a lot of oil caked onto the exhaust tip and so I'm figuring that it has to be smoking from all the oil it was burning which id say was around 3qts total until I got the new turbo. I just really would like a second opinion before I spend a lot of money on another tune.

could be a defective turbo. or a bad head gasket or bad valve seats. when is it smoking? only under acceleration? only under decel? only when in boost? lots of things man we need more info.

Let me rephrase it only smokes when I shift when It does when I'm not in boost you can still hear the bov so it's spooling but the gauge says is still in vac. But it only seems to smoke when I shift.

yeah def need more info man. i had the same issue, this may not be a resoultion for u, but i took all my ic pipes off and degreased them, then i did a fuel induction service to clean out any oil that may have built up in the intake mani, and runners. it seemed to help me out. again im not sayin that this may help in ur case. but we def need some more info.

how long has the new turbo been on? is there a lot of oil in your charge pipes? a little bit is okay but a lot isnt. you will know if it's a lot. you are probably smoking under boost as well just can't see it.

The turbo is brand new from Garrett and is just residue of oil it not a lot so I'm thinking it's left behind from the old turbo were going to take all the piping off and use some sort of degreaser to get it out any suggestions of how to get the oil out besides that?

Are you running lean at all? You could of cooked it if you are running lean or aren't letting it cool off or both. Id do a comp test next. I doubt the turbo died. Garrett makes a durable turbo
