Car wont start after installing turbo
Ok so today i installed my turbo kit i made. Everything like lines, and all components are hooked up and bolted down. what it does is it starts up and eventually stalls and dies. But if i disconnect the maf it runs fine. but with it on it dies. I have the intake maf running of the turbo intake. Any one have any suggestions for me? Need help asap.

do you have any engine management? larger injectors?
Engine management no and yes 440 injectors. WOuld i be better off to run the blow through maf sensor set up for my set up?
ALso the stock ecu will recalibrate to the 440cc injectors right? im getting tuned next week so dont rag on me just yet.
no, it won't. and don't drive it un-tuned. you'll blow your engine.
stupid question but i know did it once. is the MAF facing the right way?

so to speak it will...sounds like a leak somplace near the maf. make sure it is seated properly, facing the correct direction, and couplings are tight. any codes? if so what are they |
Ok i am working on it today after work. So what i got is the ecu will calibrate to the 440cc injectors correct? And i know not to go into booost until tune. I made sure the maf is facing the correct way also. I have it running off the cold side of the turbo now. SHould i put it in before the tb and before blow valve. So it would be like this... Tb, maf sensor, then bov?
Also i didnt get the chance to get an obd scanner due to it being late last night.
U need an e management
I know that I'm getting that in like 3 days just waiting on it. My question stated before with the tb then maf then bov. Will it start up for when I get my greddy emanage?
Throttle Body,MAF, BOV is correct when running blow-tru. Running blo-tru is better than draw-thru but that is your decision. The ECU will never recalibrate for larger injectors. The fuel maps have to be adjusted and along with the Air and Timing. Also suggest posting pics so we can help you better.
Also, what specifically are you getting the E-Blue or E-Ultimate?? |
E blue I am getting. And ill take picks as soon as I get home from work.

Yeah crush you are correct but as you said if they exceed a certain threshold then you have problems. So as you know getting it tuned is the better option is these cases.
drivable maybe but i know for a fact that my car still turned on and had a normal idle without my fic when the 550cc injectors where in.
will the stock ecu still let the car idle if he does try and set it up for blow thru? i thought u had to tune it for that since the maf is so far from the intake the car wouldnt start up right away. |
You need some kind of ecu tuning to compensate for added fuel man....
OK got it running today. The problem was the injectors arent calibrated to the ecu so getting that done tomorrow as well i am getting the trd tune since im only running 4 psi
you are going to get the trd reflash then try to tune?
Yeah thats correct. Or i might just watch the afr and then if its good just keep that and get rid of the emanage.
