PAULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

You have a PM .

I might be delaying my turbo install, depends on what the ____ this noise is. I began hearing a knocking/(sometimes)metal to metal clunking noise yesterday coming from the rear end under the car. Gonna check it out tonight, if it's nothing to do with my sway/exhaust, I'm going to bring it to the dealer and just have them take care of it...

Could be a the bolts that go on the sway bar bushing bracket thingy, came loose.

Or the bolts on the endlinks.

Happened to me once or twice after the hotchkis went in. I put some major torqueage and some threadlocker. Its fine now ^^

I checked the end links on the sway bar, and it wasn't that.

Did it make the noise when you turned also? Mine only makes the noise when I hit bumps...something is loose and bouncing around. As long as I get this fixed before next week, I'll be doing my install next weekend (weather permitting).

lol, nothing in the trunk...

Had the car jacked up, we smacked everything with a rubber mallet, nothing, shook everything around, nothing... Can't figure it out . Even over the slightest bumps, it knocks. It sounds like something metal is swinging and smacking another metal part. I think I'm going to take it into the dealer.

Still haven't pin pointed the noise, but I think it might actually be my exhaust hitting my FRONT sway bar. I've had my mid pipe in backwards (straight muffler section of the PTuning exhaust), and I swapped it around the other day when I was trying to find this noise. When I swapped it around, I noticed that the small elbow piece (needed to connect the exhaust to the stock s-pipe) was sitting rather close to my sway bar and the sway bar was scuffed a bit (could have been when I tried to install my PTuning S-Pipe). The problem with that elbow piece, is that it has a large flange on it, to match up to the stock s-pipe, with the 3" s-pipe, it will connect at the midpipe and delete the elbow, resulting in more clearance. I'm going to wrap the sway bar with a towel or something tonight...if that solves the problem, turbo install this weekend (weather permitting and assuming I get my parts). If not...removing the rear bumper, tails, etc to see if I can hear it better/pinpoint it.

I've eliminated a few issues so far. My HID ballast was bouncing around, as one of the zip ties broke, fixed that. The resistor box (or w/e the ____ it is) for my Anzo tails (3M'd to the inside of my fender) fell and was bouncing around, fixed that. Smacked almost every component under the car in the back, nothing was replicating the noise, nothing was coming even close.

One thing that is pointing me away from suspension components, is the fact that it doesn't 'only' do it over bumps. I've hit some things pretty hard, and it didn't make the noise, and it's made it just backing out of my driveway (steep decline of about 1 foot, resulting in no rough jerking, just frame twist). That and it does it when I downshift sometimes. It sounds a lot like it's something large, swinging into something metal.

Actually, I don't think I'm going to get my parts in time for this weekend. If I get them thur/fri, I won't do the install. I want to have a few days of prep time, to make sure I have everything, make sure everything will fit properly, etc. I still need to get some vacuum hoses and a clamp.

Bleh. I'll be happy when this damn car is finished. Only took 10 months and $8500 (only actually paid about $2500 lolz), but it'll finally be finished by the end of next month/beginning of December.

Well that's the thing. My car will be fiinshed. I could potentially do more, but I'm not. I'm finished with modding it once I get the turbo on and pick up my two new other parts. Gotta start saving up for my next car, because modding that is going to be even more expensive...Just to get the wheels/tires/fenders to fit the rear wheels, is going to cost about $6,000. And those are OEM wheels.

I can't wait to finish mine. I'm almost close to complete.

>.<

I had bigger plans for it, but the wheel spins is bad enough as it is. No reason to make it worse than that, LMAO!

Mishimoto radiator install, some defi sensor replacements, new front windshield (mine is cracked), vrd grills, '08 headlights, 2 hid replacement ballasts, replacement a-pillar, some white interior lighting, and done for a loooooooooooong time.

Good luck with getting everything done. After I throw my turbo on I'm calling it quits with the tC. What are you thinking about for the next car? I'm thinking about picking up a 135i. I've seen a couple around town and they are pretty sexy.

The 135i is hotttttt.

There is an ecu flash, that brings up the whp on those ^^

Price isn't so bad on the flash.

But every other mod i've seen for it is really expensive >.<
