Got 28.8mpg on the way home from work, according to my scan gauge, lol. That was with 2 light pulls into boost and one moderate one while merging onto the highway. I'm progressively getting better, plus I can lean out my vacuum AFRs just a bit more, try to get them stable in the low 14's. I've noticed that after full warm up, they're dipping into the mid-high 13's.

I made a HUGE mistake yesterday with it, I went to change my idle fuel cut from -44% to -47%...and made it +47%. Let's just say, I found out that my F/IC is working. Fixed my little mishap, and now I'm idling at dead on 14.5-14.7, drops to 13.8-14.2 when the fan kicks on, then bounces right back up, but that's normal.

be careful with changing everything like that, eventually the ecu sees it and tries to correct everything

 

be careful i heard its bad to have an angled coupler attached to your turbo. make sure its on there well

^^nah still going to have the tc but just upgrading the kit.. bigger turbo etc. next year is the motor build. going for 500.

the kit is for sale just only to a friend kind of thing.. no for sale thread or anything just putting it up to people i know.

 

hmm well shoot me ur price if anything.. im holding out for a full race mani or peak boost mani ... cuz i hate relocating the fans!! arg!

 

^^yeah the relocation is easy though! and looks cleaner IMO. and so people can see my pretty mishimoto radiator! haha ill hit you with a PM!

 

I can't believe how well my clutch is taking this turbo lol. I've only smelled it burning once, when I tested lag on the highway and hit 10psi in 5th...knowing it was going to decimate my clutch. I'm thinking I'll be fine for a good amount of time as long as I don't boost in 1st, 2nd or 5th.

 

ive been boosting the hell out of my stock clutch for 10k now and no slipping yet!!

carbon when u pop in the stg 4 i suggest u adjust the pedal.. it defenitely helps in daily driving and clutch longevity

 

K, won't be until the stock one goes though...and I have no clue when that will be, because I'll never launch it or boost in 5th .

 

if you go easy on the clutch it would still hold a lot of torque or hp, when you do quick engagements thats where it slips and destroys it

 

Then I guess I'll be good for a while! I tried to boost in second last night, that ended in failure when my tire said LOL WATCH ME SPINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! That's when my friends jaw dropped. :D.

yup your clutch can still last for years unless you race often

 

yeah my clutch is good so far because i hardly ever full boost.
