Countdown to Supercharger install.... two questions remain..
1) I have seen other (older) threads talks about the Bosch 110 bpv being so much better than the one that comes with the kit. Does changing this void warranty?
2) Scion Customer Service mentioned that a "tuba" intake come with the kit. What is that? and is it more restrictive that an CAI?
Thanks guys...
Here's to boosting...

changing out the bpv wont void your warranty and the tuba intake is just the inlet hose going to the new airbox that comes with the kit...its nothing more than a big silicon coupler.

A new air box? Hmmm....... is it as efficient as a short ram or CAI? Could I even put one of those on? I can't think of why not... I know my buddy's Cobalt has the SC and a CAI, but that a Cobalt...
Will adding a SR or CAI void the warranty? Even if it is the TRD?

i am rocking a custom cut up K&N short ram intake instead of the airbox. The whole warranty thing is a gray area...putting it on will not void your warranty, but if something happens to the engine due to the intake, then yea, it would void it but the possibilities of that are next to none with a short ram intake

tik: Thanks, but I had not planned on making those changes right away. I just like have the info... I have been a desk jockey for 20 years and didn't know the first thing about cars, tuning, performance, so I like to learn as much about car performance / tuning as I can.
I am (weather permitting) taking my car to the track tomorrow for the "before supercharger" 1/4 mile run. It is the first time I will be doing it.... my neighbor who frequently races (been doing it for 15 years or so) at the track will be showing me the ropes.
Should be fun.... but I have a healthy amount of nerves about it though.

I am probably trading my car in... getting rid of the tC all together, but I will be taking alot of my parts off first...

It was with problems I had with the S/C, and the fact that I went about it wrong. I have basically aftermarket everything, from pulley to header to exhaust... Well, when I started having the small oil leak, I put the stock pulley back on and took the car to the dealership. They took pictures of the problem and TRD came to the conclusion that it was the excess heat from my headers that had warped the seals on the shaft of the SuperCharger.
I would not be covered under any kind of warranty because of the header. So I am SOL with the S/C... They said I would have to buy a brand new S/C to get those seals fixed.
So I figured it was time to move on... And I figured there would be a lot of people on here that would like some of my parts.. lol...
Like my 110 Sport and strut bar and things. I just have to take them all off.

I know it's wrong morally but hey, why not? Dealers make enough and it's not like they don't get paid to do warrenty work. If thats so wrong, then why did he pull off the pulley before he took it in?
