i got the turbonetics kit and the pipe goin up to the wastegate





how long do u think i can drive on this if at all?

 

call them and they will replace it for free if its still under warranty

my issue is im supposed to go back to school tonight (from new haven to worcester - 1:45 hr drive) and i need to know how and how soon this can get fixed.

you could always fix it by welding it up but depending on how bad it is. but why rush fixing something and paying for it when you can get it fix'd. just try to hitch a ride with someone

 

you can drive it like that, the only thing that will happen is exhaust gas will leak from it.

 

just avoid full boost until you recieve a replacement from them

 

Common problem it seems for the Turbonetics kit. They could have came up with a better design.. imo

 

Talk to Ed or Steve @ Turbonetics tomorrow and they will have a new one on your doorstep by 10am Tuesday!

This problem seems to come most often when the installer fails to bolt up the support bracket to the block near the s-pipe. When the support bracket is not used or when the installer needed to use a lot of downward force on the downpipe to get the holes to line up, the added stress is applied to the flange near the wastegate.

Can you verfiy if the support bracket is used and was excess force required to get the bracket to line up correctly???
