Default custom exhaust questions

Im going to get a custom exhaust put in my car but my question is whats a better setup a for power a 3" with only muffler or 3" with only resenator? also does having mandrel bends really effect flow a lot compared to crimp bends? i know it looks nicer but crimp is cheaper.

not worth it imo. i spent 350 for custom s-pipe back 3" with 3 18" resonators w/o muffler it sounded really bad just save up your money and buy the ptuning spipe + exhaust...

Dude if your going custom do it right! your not gonna see much of a difference if any with a resonator or a muffler. Its more for sound. Unless you restrict the flow to the muffler for some reason. But get mandrel. Custom exhausts are cheaper already then buying from a company so spend the lil extra cash and do it right. I mean crap if your willing to do crush bends then step down to 2.5" and get mandrel bends. Cause thats what your gonna have or close to it with crimp bends.

don't do it..... buy a mandrel bent exhaust there are plenty for sale in the PPC... I am selling mine btw.

well its not like im N/A looking to go with a huge 3". im turbocharged with a atp 3" downpipe 2.5" spipe stock mid pipe and trd axle back. its a retarted setup. i wanted to get a true 3" custom made at my friends shop instead of spend 900 dollars on ptuning.

you wont see a gain bc the crimps are only 2.5 in. or less

if it helps at all, this is what my car sounds like, turbo toyota's simple kit, 3 inch downpipe, custom made 3 inch s-pipe, 3 inch mid-pipe with high flow catalytic convertor, resonator, and muffler.

trust me, get the resonator and the muffler, loud exhaust can get really really annoying.

wow yeah your right that video really made me reconsider and i think im going resonator and muffler. thanks for your guys help how long of a resonator should i get?

bigger is better, really, the largest ones you can fit on there are for the best, it is 3 inch exhaust, it is going to be loud, fit in all you can.
