Default descendent turbokit question

my question is....

in the details for your kit is says that the aem fic comes with a custom fuel map......

is this just a basemap to get me to a tuner or would i not have to tune

the pre-programmed aem f/ic with that comes with the bolt-and-go kit is just that. you can install the kit, plug in the aem f/ic, and go, car is good and tuned. you can run it with just that map, or you can get it fine tuned to your liking. it is like a basemap, but it is probably more through for the tc and decendant kit.

yeah, it is an awesome kit. only thing i don't like about it are that it uses the factory air box, which isn't a big problem. and it uses an internal wastegate on the turbo. oh, and a bypass valve instead of a blow-off valve. so it doesn't make that cool whooshing sound!

there kit is made for maxinum driveablilty! honestly have you ever tuned a car with factory airbox?

It wouldint be that much more for them to use a filter! but the guys at toyota have done a great job already at providing a cold air inlet system and perfecting the housing!

We do offer an upgraded air intake system for the DESCENDANT Turbo Kit however our pre-tune was developed using the OEM Air Box. Below is a picture of the DESCENDANT Turbo Kit w/ upgraded intake system.

what? you can't ghetto fabricate up an intake? you could probably get something like off ebay that would work, and an aem dry flow filter.

Why would I have an upgraded bpv when I had the same kit everyone else and their mother did from the dealership? Nothing on my s/c was any different than anyone elses except for I polished mine. Everything else was straight outta the box.
